WHO ARE WE?
We are a Christian community of the Anglican tradition serving the communities of the Diocese of Lake Malawi and beyond. Our focus is upon intentional Christian discipleship expressed through worship, serving God and serving others. We offer fellowship within a loving community, Anglican spirituality, Christian education for all ages, and opportunities to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ. Come to worship. Leave to serve.
OUR BACKGROUND
Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi (ADLM) calved from the nation-wide former Diocese of Malawi, and is being served by Bishop Francis Frank Kaulanda. It is an affiliate of the Anglican Council of Malawi in the Province of Central Africa with 53 parishes, 58 priests and has been in existence for thirty four years.
ORGANISATION STRUCTURE OF ADLM
Different departments and institutions are guided by the Diocesan Secretariat with the Bishop as the head of policy. The DS is responsible for administration and management whereas the Bishop focuses on pastoral issues. The organisational structure shows the proper order of functions, including roles, functions, and reporting lines, and levels of authority.
CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
– from the Bishop’s desk
We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we would like to thank God for seeing us through up to the present day.
We would also like to thank the Clergy and Laity for the cooperation we have witnessed as we were discharging our duty to run the Diocese this year.
If it were not for your support we could not have done any meaningful work…
