WHO ARE WE?
We are a Christian community of the Anglican tradition serving the communities of the Diocese of Lake Malawi and beyond. Our focus is upon intentional Christian discipleship expressed through worship, serving God and serving others. We offer fellowship within a loving community, Anglican spirituality, Christian education for all ages, and opportunities to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ. Come to worship. Leave to serve.
Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi (ADLM) calved from the nation-wide former Diocese of Malawi, and is being served by Rt. Rev. Francis Frank Kaulanda. It is an affiliate of the Anglican Council of Malawi in the Province of Central Africa with 53 parishes, 58 priests and has been in existence for thirty four years.
ORGANISATION STRUCTURE OF ADLM
Different departments and institutions are guided by the Diocesan Secretariat with the Bishop as the head of policy. The DS is responsible for administration and management whereas the Bishop focuses on pastoral issues. The organisational structure shows the proper order of functions, including roles, functions, and reporting lines, and levels of authority.
Fellow Christians in the Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi and across the world,
It is with the greatest gratitude to God the Almighty that I address you on this Bishop’s Corner on our own diocesan website. As a Diocese we have for long dreamt of having a website to complement the various means that we have for communicating to all our stakeholders. But finally in God’s time, here we are!
